The rich waters of Costa Rica provide an ideal habitat for a great variety of marine life from the large Pelagius to the delicate Sea Slugs. Costa Rica is one of the countries with the most biodiversity in the world. You will find a multitude of tropical fish, rays, corals, whales, sharks and more. Each immersion is an adventure in the deep blue.
+ COCONUT BEACH – CATALINA ISLAND: Diving in volcano pinnacles offers: White tip sharks, Bull sharks, Mantas, Rays, Diamond rays, Eagle rays, Octopuses and great schools of tropical fish. Puffers, Trumpet fish, Snappers, and Sea urchins will accompany you in any one of your immersions. This area is also the home of different dolphin species. The water generally is comfortable, between 26C and 29C. The immersions in this area are complete with rocky volcanic formations and peaks where you will find a large variety of marine life.
+ TURTLE ISLAND AND CURU: This zone has areas where you will see White tip sharks, Manta Rays, Eels and more. The diving sites are characterized by their rocky bottoms with some large and tall rocks.
+ CAÑO ISLAND: You will find rock formations of volcanic origins, marine animals, corals and more. The island is a biological reserve where you will also find Hammerheads, White tips, Whale sharks, Manta Rays, Barracudas, Snappers with blue stripes, tropical fish, black coral, groupers, dolphins and at certain times, Humpback whales.
San José- Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Coconut Beaches- We leave in the morning to head towards the zone. We arrive at noon. In the afternoon, you have the first immersion. On the second day, you have two immersions. On the third day, we will be taken to Catalina Island where we will do 3 immersions. The tours are from approximately 8:00 am to 1 pm.
We leave in the morning to head towards our next destination. The first day is your free time. On the second day, we have a tour in the Curu Refuge with 2 immersions. The tour is from 9 am to 2:30 pm during which time we look for the best conditions to do the immersions. On the third day, we have 2 immersions around Turtle Island where we will also have lunch.
On the first day, we will travel towards our next destination. For those who wish, we will have an ultralight flight tour courtesy of the Marino Ballena National Park. On the second day, there will be two immersions at the Marino Ballena National Park. On the third day, you will be taken to dive at Caño Island. The fourth day will be your free time at which time you may decide to do an all day tour through Corcovado National Park. It is unique in that it has more than 5% of the world’s biodiversity. It would be an enjoyable and relaxing thing to do before your flight home.
We will transfer you to San José.
Transfer to the international airport to take your flight back home.
