Discover the past in a comprehensive tour of the city of San Salvador followed by exploration of the Copan Ruins.
Welcome at the airport by one of our representatives, transfer to San Salvador City 49 kms. away (35mins). Overnight at San Salvador.
Optional: Disco Tour ‐ visit the main bars and restaurants areas of San Salvador
Visit the Pompeii of America, the archaeological site of Joya de Cerén (35 kms) which was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1993. Later, visit the Ruins of San Andres. You will have lunch at the city of Santa Ana, followed by a scenic tour through the city visiting Santa Ana’s Gothic Cathedral as well as Santa Ana’s Theater.
Visit the archaeological sites, the Casablanca, and Tazumal Ruins. Back to San Salvador.
Sightseeing tour of San Salvador’s City Center to view the National Cathedral, the National Palace, and the National Theatre. You will then transfer to Copan in Honduras (3:30 hours from San Salvador).
Enjoy your free time in the evening to explore your surroundings.
After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological site of Copan where you can climb the ruins, explore the site, and visit the Archaeological Museum.
We will spend the night at Copan.
Once you have had breakfast, you will check out of your hotel to visit the Museum of Copan before transferring back to San Salvador city. Your evening will be your free time to explore your surroundings.
Three hours before your flight departure, you will go to the Handicraft Market of San Salvador to do some last minute shopping. Transfer to Airport of El Salvador. Have a nice Trip!
